Before purchasing any stairlift please read the following facts:

Most stairlift companies will tell their potential customers that they can buy their product "on-line" for a great price.  They will also advertise that anyone with a few tools and no experience can install it in two hours. These are not very accurate statements. It will arrive in four separate boxes. (The carriage alone can be over 80 lbs.)  It will be disassembled for the sake of convenient shipping. Soon, the customer will figure out that this is not a very simple job.  These companies may try to help their customers over the phone.  But, no one will come to assist them. Most mail-order stairlift companies will not accept returns. It becomes an expensive purchase if the customer cannot assemble and use the product.  There will be a need for specialty tools and if anything goes wrong at this point the customer will be responsible for the damages and may have to pay for replacement parts and more shipping.
